Generally speaking I recommend starting with Doctor Who season 1 and just going from there. I have a thing about experiencing things in order, though, so ymmv.
Torchwood. Well, I watched the first 2 seasons, but refused to watch the next bit. The 2 seasons were very uneven, but there were also some good eps in there. The first ep of season 2 is my favorite.
So...may I podfic that "not a fic" bit of awesomeness?
