So, After my big black car passed its smog test (Yes!!!) I posted my DMV renewal thingy, and drove down to Milpitas with my Sweetie to drop off a computer. We then succumbed to the call of the local Fry's. I did my DVD comparison shopping (you should see my spreadsheet) and ended up leaving with 2 DVDs. (one new: Don Juan Demarco & one VHS replacement: The Power Rangers movie...hey, I have never claimed to be normal.)
Having escaped the dangerous store, we called one of our friends who never goes by his given name of David...only to find that he was at a Starbucks only 15 minutes away from us. Cool! So we arrive...only to find
goth_kitty450 and her husband were there too. Can you dig it? A small reunion of Geek Palace 1 (minus several people, mind you). So we went to nummy sushi in San Mateo (Fuji Sukiyaki rules).
I now have many suggestions for my Opening Day collection Music buy, a full tummy, and a great evening of conversation. I even got to access my livejournal with my sweetie's Blackberry device...
Tomorrow I plan to get some stuff done around here, then go to:
Copperfield's 140 Kentucky St. Petaluma, CA 94952 to see Garth Nix
(2 p.m. 4 p.m. Reading, Q&A and signing)
(Happy dance) I'm gonna see if I can have him sign my copy of Abhorsen.
I still want to go see the ocean, though.
"I must go down to the sea again..."
