Day 12
In your own space, create a fanwork. Make a podfic, an icon, a sketch, a meta, or a rec list. Arts and crafts. Cross stitch. Draft an essay about a particular medium. Put together a picspam or a fanmix. Write a review of book you love, a ship manifesto, a you-should-be-listening-to-this-band essay. Create something.
Um. While I ponder what to do, here is me singing Nature Boy
*time passes*
Okay. I'm back. And I bring you:
Party King Thranduil's Retro Dance Party!
Four Songs that the Party King would have danced to back in the day:
1) 1960s
Back in the 60s, I'll bet that the Dancing King enjoyed him some Tom Jones songs. And while I'm sure he enjoyed What's New Pussycat (1965), he's guaranteed to have danced more often to It's Not Unusual (1965).
2) 1970s
Speaking of dancing royalty, in 1976 ABBA's Dancing Queen was released. Our royal dancer was bound to have been a fan. (At least until Stayin' Alive came out the following year.)
3) 1980s
You cannot convince me that Thranduil didn't spend 1981 dancing the Prince Charming. Probably he's actually in the video along with Adam and the Ants, but we just don't know.
4) 1990s
You know that back in 1992, His Partiness was dancing to Right Said Fred's - I'm Too Sexy. Can there be any doubt?
