Well, today was my first day at work of the new year.
Can you say Upheaval?
The new library is finally scheduled to open Jan. 21 2005.
Which is good, 'cause now WE are closing on Jan. 25th instead of the 31st.
We are now projected to be closed 2 1/2 months instead of 1 1/2 months. So, I'm guessing we will actually re-open some time in May.
It looks like I will be working out of the new library during this time. Maybe in one of the two study rooms...or I may end up sharing Kevin's desk. I dunno.
We just hired some new DAs(the folks what shelve books) for the new library, and suddenly we have to scramble and see what we can do with OUR DAs...because
(drum roll please) We will have no access to our building during the time we are closed. Contrary to what we had been told. So. No projects for us.
No weeding or getting stuff in order or moving things around. And I have to pack up my desk. Heaven only knows what I'm going to do with all of my storage stuff for the summer reading program.
So. Argh.
